The mounting is extremely well made and has a nice, substantial feel on the finger thanks to the solid platinum make.  The mounting holds .92ctw of pear and marquise diamonds on the shoulders for added sparkle. The diamonds are I/SI1-SI2

The ring weighs an impressive 24.2g. It is stamped for platinum as well as the gem's carat weights.
